Thornhill Presbyterian Church is an active and vibrant intercultural Christian congregation of the Presbyterian Church in Canada. Located in the heart of old Thornhill , TPC reflects the heritage of our community and the rich cultural diversity of our region. We worship God in a spirit of joy and gratitude as we mix a blend of contemporary and traditional worship and music styles. Our vision is to discover, celebrate and share God’s love. We do this through bible study, fellowship, sharing and an active ministry of outreach into our local community, across Canada and internationally.

Mission Fundraiser

Sunday February 26th, 2012 with Rev. Dr. David Pandy-Szekeres

David will be preaching about his work during our church service at 11:00 am and after the service there will be a fabulous all you-can-eat freshly prepared sit-down Hungarian dinner/feast in the Fellowship Hall

Sunday Morning Discovery Group

SUNDAY MORNING DISCOVERY

This group will meet every Sunday morning from 9:45 to 10:30

to discuss the deep and niggling faith issues that arise from life.

With the bible in one hand, a commentary blog in the other

we will have a time of coffee and discussion.

This is not a traditional Bible Study.

It is a place where we talk about faith issues and share our thoughts together

in light of the Scriptures and our life experiences.

Leaders: Rev. Heather Vais and Ministry students Matthew Sams and Joanne Lee.

  • Sandwiches to Evangel Hall; deliver to church Wednesday for lunch on the first Thursday of each month
  • JOY Covenant Group meets every 2nd and 4th Thursday at 7:30pm
  • Book Club the last Tuesday of each month at 7:30 pm
  • Cursillio Reunion the 2nd Saturday of each month at 8:00 am
  • Grace Bible Study on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 1:30pm in the Chapel
  • Women's Missionary Society meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 1:30pm in the Chapel
  • 50 Plus Group meets every 3rd Thursday at 12:00pm for lunch and program

Prayer Chain

Thornhill Presbyterian has a very strong and supportive Prayer Chain.  Members of this group pray on a daily basis for those that have requested prayers, be that to keep in confidence amoung the group or shared on a whole.  Please contact the administrator, Stephanie Vandermey at 905-889-5391, should you wish to have your name, or a name of a friend/loved one, lifted in prayer.
